Nine Month (and then some) Update

At nine sweet months of life, Addison is...
...Wearing size 3/4 diapers.
...Wearing some 6/12 month clothes, but mostly 12/18 month!
...Wearing size 3 or 4 shoes, also some 6/12 month shoes we're about to outgrow...
...Laughing all the time! She has quite the Pee-Wee Herman impression!
...Waving at everything and everyone since mastering the wave last week. Everything!
...Saying da-da-da a ton, and occasionally just da-da, but we're still not convinced that she associates it with "daddy..." Also on the lips are ya, na, ba, fff, mmm, ga, pa, and an occasional ma that makes my heart skip a beat!
...The proud owner of eight pearly whites. We think those molars that shouldn't be here for another few months are actually on their way, too.
...28 1/2" tall, putting her in the 95th percentile and weighs 20.2 pounds, the 75th percentile.
...Loving playing Peek-A-Boo, being tickled, opening and closing doors and rattling the gate on the stairs.
...Starting to take an interest in Falene. She likes playing with her through a barely-open window. Addison will put her hands out the window when Falene walks off, but as soon as she comes near, Addison pulls her hands in! It is hilarious! She giggles when Falene actually licks her hands!
...Still loving baths (especially in the big bath--it's like a pool!).
...Into sharing. Her food, her paci, her baby... And she thinks it's very rude if you don't take her up on your offer! She just keeps offering until you accept!
...Eating like a champ! At least 30 ounces per day of formula, plus Cheerios at breakfast, usually yogurt or applesauce for a snack, yogurt puffs, dried fruit, nilla wafers, animal crackers, graham crackers... Typically eats a good dinner of broccoli or peas and carrots, rotini noodles, cheese, turkey or chicken, and some fruit. Blueberries and strfruit are still favorites, but she's actually liking kiwi and grapes now that she'll get them in her mouth! I let her try strawberries and apples this weekend, and she loved them!
...Walking everywhere. And quickly, I might add. She's almost got a run. Wow.
...In a little bit of a sleep slump. She still goes to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 each night, but has started waking around 1:30 and not really going back to sleep well until around 3:00. She will wake and cry, I will lay her back down, she'll doze for a bit, then wake and cry, I will lay her down, and over and over. I think it might be a little separation anxiety? Anyway, once she goes back to sleep around 3:00, she will sleep until around 5:00, when she gets to come snuggle up with us until she takes her bottle at around 6:00. By 6:30, our house is wide awake! But she then typically goes back down for a nap at around 8:30 or 9:00, and will sleep until 10:30 or 11:00. For a bit, I thought she was trying to give up that morning nap, but not so! She will also take a decent afternoon nap, usually 2-4.
...Still in love with her baby! It is so sweet! No matter where we try to "hide" the doll, Addison finds her and loves on her!
...Fascinated by other little people! She wants to touch any baby she sees, as well as other kids her size (and bigger)! She's very social! For that matter, she is also fascinated by people in general. She will practically fall out of her chair trying to get someone at another table to look at her in a restaurant!
...Incredibly smart. All it takes is showing her how something works once or twice for her to get it. Along with that, though, comes a child who is easily bored and distracted! Once something becomes too easy, she moves on to something more challenging (like that stairway gate)! She's also very stubborn and determined! But I think that motivation is a great characteristic for her to possess. ...The absolute light of her Daddy's and Mommy's life! We love you so much, Angel Baby!
